Blog from Italy

Hi to one and all,

My name's Alex and I'm a Milan, Italy based English teacher, trainer, translator, blogger/webmaster.

I've been in Italy for over ten years, and have effectively settled here.

I speak Italian, having picked it up, off the street, so to speak.

I know lawyers, real estate consultants, and even an SEO expert (an American), plus one or two other potentially useful contacts.

If you'd like to know more about me and life in Italy, then you may find my Blog from Italy site interesting. You will find contact details over at my blog. Please leave comments if you wish too. I blog about current news and events in Italy, and many other things that catch my little eye. Some people seem to think that I write quite well.

I am also working on promoting Italian contemporary artists and their work, and am in the process of setting up an Italian flavoured technology blog - I've been a technology lover for years.

I would like to devote more time to my web based 'enterprises' and am slowly moving in that direction.

If you'd like to know more about Italy, ask away or have a hunt around my blog, and use the search system to unearth things - the blog has been online in one form or another since the start of 2005.

All the best,

Alex

Welcome on board Alex!

Why did you choose Italy?

What does your SEO contact think about the Expat.com website? I am trying to make it google friendly but I may have forgotten a few things ;)

All the best,

@Jo Ann - Thanks:)

@Expat.com team - Thanks to you too!

As for why I chose Italy - good question. I really ended up here by chance. I was looking for work as an English teacher, and found it in Italy.

I liked the place, and have been here ever since, acquiring an other half and child along the way. Actually, I do have distant Italian ancestors, and my little finger is Italian.

As for how SEO worthy the Expat.com website is, I'll have a word with my SEO friend and see if I can persuade him to pop over and see what he thinks, especially with regard to the Googleness of the site.

I'll let you know if my powers of persuasion bear fruits;)

All the best to you!

Alex

Hello Alex and all ;-)
I joined up a few weeks ago and only got as far as putting the widget on my sidebar, oh dear how disgraceful, anyway here I am as a new entry, I know Alex (virtually) because we bumped into one and other this morning on our blogs...I am also located in Italy, Monza to be exact I have lived here since 1985...After bringing up 2 boys and a husband I went back to study a teacher training course (CELTA) after people asking me to teach them English, I now teach English to adults and have just recently got into teaching English online which I love and have been very successful at in a very short time to my surprise...By the way I was born in southern England kent, which I will be visiting next week, and can't wait to get away from the heat and mosquitoes...
