Boat to Qatar

Maybe a silly question, but here goes -

I realize that there are no ferries, but is there any way to get to Qatar by boat?
For example, can you charter a boat to take you there and back?

I would assume you can, but not sure of the procedure nor service providers, if any.

Theoretically speaking, it can be done. You need to take permission from the coast guard in Bahrain and exit from Salman's port and head to Al Ruwais port in Qatar. You will be intercepted by the Qatarian coast guard when you enter the Qatar, and will be asked for papers and purpose of visits. That been said, It’s rarely been done. Good luck
