Homeschool Kid's Meetups

Hi,

how old are your children? We've just finalised our plans to relocate to POM early 2015 and found that there are no more vacancies at the international schools. Homeschooling may be the only option, though neither of us have any experience teaching. Our kids are only 3 and 5 though, it can't be that hard!

Would love to meet up for the young ones to socialise!

We're doing homeschooling/distance education for our almost 6yr old, while his 12yr old sister is at TEMIS (international school).

If you're planning on doing distance education, and you're from Australia, contact your State/Territory Dept of Education. Doing this will ensure your little one(s) are able to slot back into the curriculum once you return. It's worked great for us. We get regular work sets set up, plus they've set up accounts for us to use a range of different web based applications such as ABC Reading Eggs

thanks for the reply. Tried your email address but the email bounced back. We are thinking of possibly enrolling our 5 year old in a preschool even though she's a little over-aged, just so she gets to socialise with a regular group of kids. Does your homeschooled child have a regular social group?
