Tara, there is a thread on living in BCN that should answer some of your questions...you will be sharing a flat for that price, especially if you want to live in a charming area...have a go at the thread, and I'll be happy to answer whatever other questions that I can.

Hi to everyone,
I recently been to Barcelona and I discovered a perfect way to find a house to share having the time of my life.
The event is called Las Noches del Piso organised by Easy Piso.com. This event consisted in making a party in some bars where people that offer rooms in shared houses could meet people that are looking for a room in a shared house, the entrance is free and at the same time you are enjoying a beer and knowing new people.

If someone is looking to stay in Barcelona this is the place to go. Note that this partys are the last tuesday and thurday of each month, they start at 21 30 and for more reference i can say that the tuesdays the event is in the Bambu of Vallfagona street in Gracia and the thursdays the party runs to the Local Bar in Ases street in the Borne.

Find a House to live in Barcelona and enjoy the Fiesta!!
