Am coming to Australia Sydney for studies at university of Technology Sydney in January and am looking for accommodation.
Advise on areas and how to get affordable accommodation

Perhaps contact the University for information on accommodation. Or Google search it.

I suggest that Initially you stay in the housing options avalable throught the university for only one month, then after that you can move out to a more affordable one.
Check gumtree.com.au/s-sydney/l3003435 or google for accomadation in Sydney rent a week varies from $150 to $250 a week.
