Hi,
We are currently exploring living and teaching in Rio. We have a 7 year old son who would attend an international school and a 13 year old son who currently attends a special school in England. He has autism and other significant learning and communication difficulties and would a need a school which caters for these special needs. I can't find any information on the internet about special schools in Rio or even mainstream schools which accept students with severe learning difficulties. Does anyone know of any such schools or do any of the mainstream/international schools cater for such students? Hope someone out there can help.

Hi there,
We have just moved to Rio De Janeiro and I think you should contact Rio International School and talk to them. We have two sons at Rio International School and one daughter at Escola De Americana. Rio International School is a small school with only 174 students. It`s a Christian school based on the American curriculum.
