I am Bonnie Davis from Vancouver Is. B.C., Canada. Although I have researched Ecuador for many months, it is still a real learning curve, once landing here. I have decided to begin my adventure North of Quito, in Cotacachi. Having been here for three weeks now, it is a challenge finding accommodation without being gringoed. I find the Ecuadorians extremely kind and helpful, which makes my transition very pleasant.
Once settling into a rental, I can begin to explore everything Ecuador has to offer.

Hi Bonnie,

My wife and I will be arriving in Quito on 11/25 and then to Cuenca for Dec. We will be going to Cotacachi probably in January for a few weeks. I will be interested to hear how your rental experience goes as we will also be looking for an apartment there. I hope that you will share your experiences in the regard.

This will also be our first visit to Ecuador.
