What is the max baht you can take from an atm in one single transaction please ? :)

drwill

For me, it's up to my U.S. banks.  One allows $600, the other $300, so you have to be aware of the $-baht value.  But also remember that all Thai banks charge 150 baht per international ATM transaction no matter what the amount.  So I cut back on small withdrawals.

Thanx Drwill for your reply,im not sure how much my bank has allowed me to withdraw from an foreign ATM but i have taken £500 from british atm & 5oo euro's from greek cypriot atm now i will need 24000 baht to set me up in bk for the month so i hope i can get much of that from one withdraw and  use what foreign currency i have in cash to do the rest.

                         Cheers  :)

My US bank allows $500 per 24 hour period.

Try to find out before you start withdrawing cash.  I tried to withdraw more than my bank allowed and they froze my account (suspicious activity) almost leaving me stranded without any cash in Thailand.  Good times. :)
