I'm going to Hanoi/Sapa/Ha Giang next week and am wondering if it is possible to take the bus to Ha Giang from Hanoi and rent a motorbike there.  I'd also be interested in traveling with a guide.  Does anyone have experience with this?

Many thanks in advance!!

You can rent motorcycles up there. They also have guides there.

BE AWARE that PERMITS ARE REQUIRED for certain areas near the Chinese border and some Permits require you have a guide.

Avoid night travel (bus or motorcycle) as the roads can be and are treacherous. Road kill is high up there.
