Sewage system in Jeddah

I think this is a very indelicate question, but can someone tell me about the sewage system in Jeddah? I want to know if I can put paper in the toilets here. I hope someone can answer me. Thanks.

In many nations the sewage systems are antiquated and cannot handle toilet paper. Some countries don't even have primary sewage treatment, let alone secondary.

Where are you staying right now? The answer to your question will be in the bathroom right there. If there is a wastebasket right beside the toilet, then it's a safe bet you can't flush toilet paper. If in doubt check out some public washroom and see what's beside the toilet there.

Here in Brazil you certainly can't flush toilet paper, and those who can't adapt to that situation and use a wastebasket will eventually have everything re-visit them and it won't be a pretty sight at all.
