Have you tried or tested crowd-funding or fund raising in UK before?
What was the success rate and average contribution per person?
What's the current trend? Is it towards the charity based? sharing based or the equity based?

Anyone tried a model which needs minimum effort, benefited both the project owner and the contributor before?

Expecting your feedback.

Hello Bill,

It seems most of the EB members do not understand what crowd funding is. I therefore suggest if you could elaborate this term along with the business proposal you have. :)

Riaz,

If you are in to a business or running a charity, you are constantly in need of funding [at least the business generating enough cash to float in]. Traditionally, most entrepreneurs starting businesses using own savings, else going for friends or family to borrow otherwise through the bank arranged financial materials.

Crowd Funding is a model to raise the funds through your crowd. It can be a circle known to you else completely strange to you.

Model is similar to begging [some what], you list your project or financial needs online and asking from the friends, family, colleagues and the prospects to contribute towards the pledge.

Probably one might not be able to contribute you by 100% but in small chunks.

In this way they can avoid greater risk and in parallel can help your fund raising needs.

However, most of the exiting platforms having its own limitations.

Limitations, Approvals, Limited Time Frame, Limited Fund raising models etc

Recently seen another, which is practising the sharing mode.

I am trying to find out anyone managed to raise up to 10K through any of the crowd funding platforms. This is to understand how he/she succeed.

Other option would be identifying a business pro and introducing a multi mode fund raising, which allows to trade in anything. Any questions?
