Talitha

Hey there

I have been thinking about the same thing!

There is a place called The Patch and Parrot in Grand Baie. Prices are good and nice place too!

Cheers
Talitha

musheer

Hey Talitha,

Could you post a find out a few more details :)
I am guessing you had a dinner/barbeque in mind??

Talitha

Yes they do a BBQ so people just pay per a head :-)My brother just started working there so he could help organise what everyone would like to do. could be fun!

what kind of details you looking for?

musheer

Cool,
Details i.e what things we could do.. Is it on the beach?
Likely costs per person and what could be included in a package

Ideas other than BBQ/Dinner are also welcome from the all!!
The last meet was a diner at tamarin hotel!

Talitha

We could also do just cocktails snacks?

jkharbanda

Hi

Count me and my family in.
How about keeping it 10 th or 24th sept?
Guess somebody has tom suggest dates

Julien

Several questions:

> do you prefer a bbq on the beach or meeting on pub ?

> should we organize it on a Saturday or on a Sunday ?

> should we meet in the North, South, or Port Louis ?

I'll think about all this ...

FeeAcer

and don't forget the French speaking forum either for ideas and participation :)

musheer

@Arlette!!
Good you reminded us :)
My french is a poor, could some1 try posting this there?

@ Julien,
Good point, I was hoping people will come up with ideas... Otherwise, BBQ and Beach Activities are always an option

@jkharbanda
Welcome aboard! You are right, we need to fix up a date for this, I suggest 25th or 26th , as it is a weekend!

Julien ,do we start a new post with the date, or can i modify the title?

Cheers!!

Julien

don't worry musheer I'll translate in French ;)

I guess we should agree on a place / date first, then we'll start a new discussion ?

jkharbanda

25th or 26th is a Good Idea.

terence

Hi everybody,

Now I am set in Mauritius, 25th or 26th will be perfect for us.

Cheers,
Virginie

There is also the Beach House in Grand Bay, good food etc, and right on the beach so the kids can keep busy as well

musheer

Hi Guys!

Looks like 26th Sunday lunch BBQ or 25th Saturday Dinner BBQ seems like t main idea!!
The summer should be setting in by then ,so hopefully should be good weather.
@Sagoodboy could you give us an idea of wat charges would be there per person along with wat wud b offered?!!
@Talitha Wud it b possible to check on BBQ and drinks.
Also wat activities we can do there?!!
Terence and I are also exploring a couple of options, Will post them soon!
If any1 has options and give more details feel free!!
I think a realistic number would be between 30 to 50!! though it would be great to have more :)
Any ideas from the french forum Julian?

Cheers,
Musheer

Hi all;
Is the Forum Get together on?
jayesh

Hanlie Blaise

Hi Regarding Beach House - food are on average Rs350 (excellent burgers), plus a kiddies menu, snack baskets, drinks island average price. They normally have a jazz band Sundays from 2 - 6, very laid-back and relaxed atmosphere.  Many people bring their kids as they can easily watch them. If there is a big group, I recommend you phone to reserve the tables outside (under cover) as this is next to the beach.
