I am from Sydney Australia in jeddah to provide support to a Saudi family that has diverse interests in KSA. This is my first time to the Middle East and I am in amazement how culturally different it is. The other workers support me with cultural practices to avoid breaking any rules and appreciate that I am keen to understand why things are the way they are.

I have been hear six months and have settled ok. I laugh when the saudi prefer to support the Australian soccer team instead of their own national.

My name is Stéphane, I will live soon in Dammam and I'd love to get some information about social life, with soudians or with expats. How easy is it to meet and discuss with local people? How easy is it to meet expats to get to learn what to do and what not to do?
I believe people there are very comprehensive, but given my work field (construction) they might not be so soft and nice :s

I've been in adelaide for more than year and half and done my MBA from there

As am I crazy about soccer , I'll tell u something
I really love to watch a good playing as a team not as an individual player
Hahhah

So that why i support a good team and enjoying watching a real soccer
