Annual check in with the Bureau of Immigration within 60 days

My husband, who is an American with an ACR A13 visa, went today to the Bureau of Immigration here in Manila to pay for an annual fee / tax. He's a non quota immigrant visa holder (A13). The fee he paid this year was PhP310. He has to do this every year within the first 60 days of the year. If he fails to do that, he would be fined (I think it's PhP3,000 each time) even if it's just a day late.

Last year we paid PhP330 plus penalties for each of the 4 years that he didn't check in. We didn't know that he had to check in every year. We thought that all was needed was to renew the visa every 5 years.

You might want to check what fees you need to pay and the deadlines for the type of visa you have to avoid penalties.
