Custom Duty on LED TV being sent as Charity to an Orphanage

Hi Friends .. Need your help. what is the Custom Duty on LED TV ( size 32 " or 40" as per requirement of the organization) being sent as Charity to an Orphanage in the Rural Area from Indonesia ? Thanks.

Hi Nagina,

I am not quite sure if this applies to India. What I know is, as long as the item is used, it won't be charged with custom's duty. Only brand new items are charged with it, hence, it is recommended to bring it out of the box or unpacked (like with laptops, printers, etc.) As long as you declare it for private use and not to be sold, your item should be okay. You can also check the website of the airport you're arriving at. It should be written there somewhere.
