Non-EEA spose to a EEA national, residence in UK - alone to Malta?

Post new topic

Basically, the question is in the topic.
I know the UK is not a Schengen area. I thought I cannot travel alone (without my EEA husband) to Schengen area without a valid visa. But some posts in this forum are quite confusing. I am just wondering if some positive amendments came into force or I still have to apply for a visa if traveling alone. Whereas, I can enter Malta without a visa (having UK residency only) if accompanied by my husband  ans stay there up to 3 months.
Could you please confirm/clarify?

The guide says that you only need your spouse to carry your marriage certificate. I'd get a apostle on the back so they know it's genuine. That's what I'm going to do,

Also, when are you going? I'm planning on letting a place or subletting and it would be cheaper to share and nicer to have friends in the same situation. I'm currently in Doncaster saving up the money to go!
