Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone could give me some information on what is needed to start a retail business in Libya. What documents are needed, do you need a Libyan partner, where do you go to register your business, etc...

Any info you can provide would be greatly appriciated!

Hello SafiaD,

Starting any business in Libya you must have a local partnership, the way this works is the percentage is to be divided.

You need lots of documents, you can use a branch, a JSC , commercial agency or other means - will take 2-3 months at least to get something sorted

since you nead a locale partner , your partner will tell you what documents you do nead and it also depinds in wha kind of business you are thinking about
