Mattresses and Sheets

For whatever reason (I'll spare you the long version; suffice it to say that I'm still new to Europe and unfamiliar...), I am the owner of a 160x210mm bed.  I purchased before doing adequate research, but have now discovered that mattresses have to be special-ordered in that size, and that NO ONE sells sheets to fit a 160x210 or two 80X210 mattresses.

I can't be the only person to own this size bed.  Where do people buy sheets to fit?  Or do "standard" sheets just stretch enough to fit okay?

Hi chrevbel,

Try amazon.de and use the search words: 160x210 Bettlaken. A few come up.

Hope this helps! :)

Ami,

That helps a lot.  Thank you!  I'd tried similar searches, but not on Amazon, and come up with nothing.  I guess it looks like 160x210 is a common waterbed size.  Who knew?

Thanks!

I was going to say - we order waterbed linen for our US style 200x200 mattress... too expensive to ship over.  Amazon.de rocks when it comes to problems like this.

Hey...you can search online for the needed size of bedsheets and mattresses. But if you don't want to check online, just search your local stores for the same. I am having a bed of almost same size as of yours and are quite satisfied from mattress and bedsheets. I am sure you will get the required one.

Try fitted sheets made from stretchable material. They are pretty common (and cheap) in standard size 160 x 200 cm and you can easily stretch to 210!
