Permesso di soggiorno

Post new topic

I am an Iranian student (a not EU citizen) staying in Italy to pursue a six month sabbatical period in Firenze university. I have a valid passport+ valid schengen visa (type D, Multiple entry), but I have not applied for the residence permission (permesso di soggiorno). My question is that can I travel to Paris (for a week) and then return to Italy without the permesso? there is a ponit, my visa is for 6 months and I came here 5 months ago, so my visa is still valid. please let me know, i am really worried to miss the flight at the airport, do they check both visa and premesso di soggiorno at the airport? Thanks :(

Since you have an inter Europe flight, they will only check validity of your visa.

To be on the safe side, do get a second opinion as well though.
