leaving a job in Malta will I get paid

Post new topic

Hi ,
I  resigned from work after 2 weeks due to disagreements  with my employer. I received a payslip  by email and  was

told since i dont have my account yet will be paid by check.

I resigned and it has been two weeks now the pay was due 30.04 but I still didnt receive the check. Will I ever receive

it?

I am a bit worried now that I wont get paid because I resigned myself.

Anyone has experience with it ?

Thanks

Have you been in to collect the cheque ? If not I would try that first

The manager is never at the office so no point in gong there.
Shee also doesnt reply to my emails...I did not leave on good terms so not too keen on meeting her.

Get the bovver boys in with the bats?

Seriously though, as much as you may not want to see her you are just going to have to face up to it - no visit no money most likely. Take a friend if it makes you feel more comfortable.

Also take a prepared piece of paper confirming that final wages have been accepted in cheque form, the amount, form of payment (i.e. cheque) and the date. Both of you sign it - take two copies and sign both. May come in handy if the cheque gets cancelled.

I spoke with her and she said its not ready yet and has to be recalculated..
