Hi all,

I have got my work visa around 2 months back and it will expire on 22nd June. Due to some reasons I could not go to Germany early.

My Visa will expire on 22nd June. If I book my flight for 16th or 17th June, will I be able to extend my Visa easily upon reaching there?

How long does the Visa extension take? I will be glad if someone can recommend any website or numbers of the concerned authority.

I am planning to go to Munich\Augsburg.

Does your visa allow staying in Germany until 22.June, or entering Germany until that date (and applying for a residence permit after arrival)?
In any case, renewing a residence visa takes several weeks, so you may already be too late. Contact the embassy to ask what can be done!

Thanks beppi, I have checked from the embassy and they say that it can be easily extended. I have reconfirmed from Aliens dept in Augsburg too. Thanks anyways.

Hi, if its category D visa, sure its easily extendable otherwise its very difficult in case of shortterm visa.
