Medical teaching jobs go to Malaysians except in the low cost-low paid colleges which you have seen discussed in an earlier thread.

Its a career that operates in the same way in other countries. The reputable universities take high performing Malaysian (majority being Malay) who dont want to enter clinical practice.

The main issue is being able to register with the Malaysian Medical Council i.e. having the right qualifications so being able to teach at all. That is the first and foremost concern before applying for online jobs or cold applications.

Even qualified foreign doctors who are in Malaysia as trailing spouses, cannot find positions in medicine of any kind.

I know one indian (as in Indian Passport holder) who is  a doctor in Malaysia and she has the talent pass now. However she arrived 15 years ago and was far easier back then.  Even the government here is saying too many Malaysians want to be doctors as oversupply. I have met another foreign doctor - a lecturer British in UM. They do employ foreigners but in specialised fields. And they head hunt when they need  - not just employ anyone,

Best medical schools? Malaysians only trust European, USA, UK and Australian medical degrees, First thing I was told when I arrived check where your doctor qualified. If Malaysia leave was the advice. The British ones setting up here would be ok. You can try them.
