Could anyone recommed insurance companies in Phnom Penh. I am just considering buying a second hand car and would like to insure it.

Please also mention any problems experienced etc.
Many thanks

or CVI

Teddylim

There is also infinity insurance

Thanks for the suggestions. Checked out all 3 plus MGA. Infinity is the cheapest by $100 to the next runnmer up and they keep going up.

We're with Asia Insurance (opp central post office). We've moved all our insurances to them now (vehicle, burglary, fire). Whether they're cheaper, I don't know, but their contracts are more up to the expectations of Westerners.

Does anyone here know if the paper the rental agent gives you as a proof that you payed for a Cambodian drivers licence, (it takes some time before you get the real thing) actually Works as a drivers licence? (here im thinking more in case an accident happens and insurence has to cover the damage - will the Insurance Company accept this paper as a actual drivers licence?

Sorry about the looooooonnng question  :D

All the best

That's a provisional dl, and will be accepted by insurance agents.

From what I am told by the company I used to pay for it, it does work. I have been stopped on the street and the cop seemed to take it as OK. BTW it took 6 weeks for the real thing to come through.
