Post new topic

sachinnikam

Hi all
I need to know -
1. How do we get through GAMCA when a person has diabetes. Although it is now in control. But before a month and before that it was not that controlled hence HBA1C reading will be over 10 I guess...?
Todays readings are Fasting - 90.. PP - 150
Any idea how to get through GAMCA test....
(Rest all reading are and will be in acceptable limits .. so no worry..)

2. I will be taking test in Mumbai ... can anybody suggest where I can get GAMCA through ...

3. Are good doctors available in Muscat for continuing diabetic treatment ???

In any case I do not want to loose opportunity and live for atleast 10 years in Muscat.

Looking forward

Sumitran

Hi sachinnikam,

The way things are going for expatriates here in the Sultanate, Asian expatriates specifically, and more so hailing from the sub-continent, it would be far better and wiser for you to plan one-step at a time.

First try to get your medical tests cleared. You would need a 'Fit to Travel' stamp on the report. Getting that should be your first objective. If that does not happen, then there will be no further discussions.

Secondly, diabetes is a very common disease these days. Though doctors are largely mediocre here, you can manage well enough with your medications for the ailment specified.

You last desire could well be a dream. The banking sector is one of the most heavily Omanised. It would be absolutely impossible for you to be working for any local bank for 10-long years. I would say, if you manage to retain your job for a couple of years that would be a big achievement.
