My husband and I are planning to move to Gran Canaria in a year or so.  I am retired but my husband plans to take early retirement.  My husband has to have regular blood checks as he takes warfarin.  He would therefore need a prescription every month or so.  Is anybody able to tell me what the situation is.  Would I need to take out private medical insurance.  Many thanks Jacqueline

It seems that from July 2014 you now are not covered and need private cover. I found this on Google so please  check up on Google yourself for up to date information.
