profession for permanent visa

Hi,
My husband works in Saudi Arabia. His profession is industrial tool vendor, can he apply for permanent visa. He has applied but we are waiting for the acceptance. Just wanted to clear my doubt.
Please help me.

There is nothing like " Permanent Visa" ...In Saudi Arabia you may say " Work Visa" or "Family Visa"
