Safety in Gibraltar

Post new topic

Christine

Hi,

We would like to talk about a sensitive but important topic: do you feel safe in Gibraltar?

How would you define the level of safety in the country?

Can you walk safely during the day and at night without any fear?

Do you think there is a high rate of criminality, social problems or tensions?

Share with us your insight on safety in Gibraltar and in the city you live in.

Thank you in advance,

Christine

Gibraltar is probably one of the safest countries in the world but is not completely free of problems and normal precautions should be taken.

My wife often walks home alone in the early hours of the morning.

I don't live in Gibraltar, but have spent many holidays days there over the last 25 years.

My partner and I have never experienced any safety issues in Gibraltar and have walked around at all times of the day & night.

Unlike where I live in the UK bobbies are seen all the time which is comforting & are a little more approachable :)
