Removal of EXWIFE name from passport

if I receive my divorce orders from India when staying in Oman, how can I remove my ex-wife's name from the Indian passport, pls advise.

Hi abhijith sathish,

You cannot change the names that are already printed in an issued passport.

Only when your passport falls due for renewal can you get your spouse's name amended, by providing the required documentary evidence to the passport issuing authorities - whether in India or elsewhere.

Hi abhijith sathish,

You will be able to change the name of your spouse in your passport only when you apply for a new book during your passport renewal.

Not necessary, you can get it changed anytime, subjected to you have the proof of the changes and supporting documents. Go to Indian embassy website and the process is clearly mentioned in that.
