I'm wondering. What are the work opportunities like in Malta out of season? I got a job easy in February/March. This time I need to go back an obviously have 90 days to get on to be able to stay. That's October/November/December. Will I have a big struggle finding work? Or is it possible but just a little less work to choose from please?

you will find work in those months but its less likely to be in the hotels/bars etc  you may find work in customer service roles and things like stores work
there will be some roles in the tourist trade but fewer and less hours than you would get in summer

We're in the same situation, Adi. Have you found a place to stay, yet?

just to point out as an eu citizen you dont have to leave after 90 days
your required to register for residency after 90 days but you have the right to live and work here regardless

I've gotten the impression that jobs in the online gaming industry are possible to get all year round. They always need more people after what I've been told, so that's a possibility if you're interested in that kind of work. Customer support, translator, etc. That's what i did btw. Next month I'm on a flight down to Malta!:)

Ok cheers guys. 90 days is my window for sure. I've a baby and wife that depend on my success. Can't wait! Thanks for the reassurance. No it not found a place yet but sure I'll find one close to work ASAP. Weldings and manufacturing are my trades. I'll be there in October!

Only English I'm afraid, however they took me under their wing last time. I learned 'Mala' and the work for work 'shawn'

Can you please clarify something. I am a EU citizen who meets the self sufficiency and medical cover rules, ( yearly med policy and eh111) i am single and have a UK military pension but a long way off state pension. Now the thing is can i come and go every 3 months, or apply for E residency as soon as possible, i might look for p/t job but only to keep active. But as EU citizen, why bother i have a nice safe income with no dependents, i am entilted to live in any EU state as long as  not a burden on the local community, grateful for your opinion cheers steve.

Well if your European and you leave ever 3 months then you don't need to register. The EU law is that you have to register within 3 months only if you plan on staying longer than that. There's not much point applying if you aren't moving there. The EU is all about freedom of movement and your free to move or go where you like without restriction
