Is it safe to return to Douala?

Hello all,

I have a huge decision to make: my daughter and I are scheduled back to Douala in August. Yesterday I received an email from my husband's work, informing us that Boko Haram is "sure to attack Douala".

I am going crazy trying to decide what to do. Do I risk it and return with her? She is in the American School and I fear that this might become a possible target.

Any help or suggestions will really be appreciated!

i am late coming, just because i am usually in french forum
Douala is too far from Boko haram, but no where in the world is not really far from them and others dihadjist group. But for now, the army and security force are try to protect the cameroon's cities against them. if you want to move to douala with you family, you should respect the same security rules you respect in your country and be more vigilent. More often you can live like local people but you still remain yourself that you are foreigner.
I expect that i give you some answer, if not let me know with clear questions

Its quite safe to return to Douala. activities are going on well in the city and the security is tightened all around the place.
