Post new topic

Bombayite

Hi, I currently work as a manager in India I've been offered a Job with an international Bank in Bahrain and am being offered a Salary of BHD1500 + Family Visa + Accomodation + Schooling for kid.
I have a family of 3 (Wife + Kid + Self) and have a moderate lifestyle.
Q1) Is this a good Salary and will I be able to save 50% of it?
Q2) Am i expected to get additional medical insurance or is medical treatment free in Bahrain like Oman
Q3) Are there any provisions to have residence visa for parents above 60 self - sponsored like in Dubai?

Thank you in advance

dear Bombayite,

Q1. If your having a moderate lifestyle and accommodation/schooling is taken care of then you should be able to save.
Q2. Yes, you need a medical insurance if your company is not paying for the same, there is no free medical treatment for expats. (medical is more on a expensive side in Bahrain) - try to negotiate with employer.
Q3. As of now there is no provision for RP for parents only visit visa, but i have heard it may be introduced soon (may be a rumor as well).

Kindly go through the below mentioned links as well to have an idea about cost of living.
