Getting residency in brazil

Theworldtraveller

Hello,

I would like to get more info on how to get residency in Brazil. I heard about the business visa which cost about 40,000$ of investment , any body has more details about that

James

There are relatively few ways to obtain permanent residency in Brazil, they are as follows:

Marry a Brazilian citizen or permanent resident;
Have a stable relationship of at least 1 year existence with a Brazilian citizen or permanent resident;
Have a Brazilian born child;
Hold a VITEM-V Work Visa for a minimum of 3 years and apply for transformation to permanent;
Retire, with the ability to transfer USD $2000 per month into a Brazilian bank account to support yourself and up to 2 dependents, $1000 more for each additional dependent;
Invest R$150,000 in a Brazilian company or start a business with that investment.

ALL OF THE FOREGOING ARE EXTREMELY BUREAUCRATIC PROCESSES.

Cheers,
