Hello Eric,

On behalf of everybody here at Expat-blog, welcome on board. I hope your participation here will be both enjoyable and informative. I'm sure you'll soon have lots of new friends here.

Count your blessings Eric, you're working. Back here in Macaé jobs in the petroleum industry are being lost left, right and center. Mostly due to the dropping world prices of oil, but partly due to the Petrobras scandal too. I've heard that 10 percent of jobs here have already gone, and more are on the way. Rumors are floating around that the Prefeitura of Macaé is even going to have to cut back on services.

Looks like we're in for hard times back home in Brazil.

Cheers,

All people here have the same lifestyle.
So try to forget about it and think positively.

Hello Eric I'm also a Brazilian; Welcome to Saudi Arabia; I'm also recently moved to Saudi for a job position, been Saudi for about 6 months now; Yeah life here can get very boring at times, especially when you come from Brazil directly;  Well I guess the best way to beat is try to gather as much friends as possible around here; Answering in English so other expats can get access to it buddy; But I add. you to my contacts and you feel free to contact me and I also extend the invite to anybody in the blog!
