Culture.
A word having very big meaning.
Our culture is how we have been bring and brought-up.
How our society and parents has reacted and interacted in presence of us.
An open minded person can mix with any culture what soever.
Some cultural differences in behavior of the people with Africa and India are just staggering.
1) Eating habits.
a) African and Ugandan...They do eat what ever they like..
Their menu consist of Insects,Fish,Chapati,Vegetables,Meat,Egg,Banana, Plankten,fruits,bush meat,birds..
b) Indian Gujarati menu is not like that I do not eat any meat or egg.Insect can give chill in the spine.
2) Work culture.
a) Ugandan people are just hard working and there is no difference in Man and woman.
All people do equally hard work despite sex differences.
Yes some skilled work in construction are male dominated but for unskilled there is simply no difference.
b) India there is difference woman are not supposed to do some intense physical labor.
3) Sex differences in life style.
a) Ugandan woman are free to live without family member in remote locations.
b) In India unmarried woman living of her own in far off place is not common.
4)Family bonding.
a) Though Ugandan people are family centrist there is not too much pressure to live with family specially for woman.
5) Clothing.
a)Ugandan people wear more westernized dress than Indian woman.
This are few striking differences but they are equally loving and good people.
Aww.this is my country, I miss home terribly. To add on a few points from what prav stated. In uganda, Every parent's dream is to see her child through school, find and job, get married and live your own life. Some kids move out after college, find part time jobs and at the same time pursue studies at university. Some stay in hostels and only return home for visits and special occasions.
We have ovet 50tribes, 50 local languages, different cultures but English is the unifying Language
yes mriam your parents wants to see you live your own life but our parents wants us to be with them forever that is a staggerring differance.
ourparents wants their grandkids in their lap beore death.
They simply do not want us to leave them.
Even we are well settled abroadthey wishus to comeback frequently and take care of them.
Not only when they are sick...if they arevery healthy and indipendant than also they want us around.
