Marriage Visa application in Neuss, Germany

Post new topic

Soliel Enad

 Hello everyone!!! does anybody here can share me any helpful information about how long does the marriage visa application in Neuss Germany takes? I am currently waiting for the final result of the checking of documents from Manila Embassy that has been forwarded to the Standesamnt in Neuss a week ago, and they told us to wait until next month. If anyone here has been in my current situation, I would be so glad to hear some advises or thoughts about any procedures the court has to undergo before approving my marriage application. Vielen dank in voraus.

How long it takes depends on the individual situation, so ask the embassy or authorities in Neuss. Several months is usual.
Please not that marrying a foreigner in Germany is notoriously difficult. If you want to avoid hazzle, marry elsewhere and apply for a family reunion visa afterwards!

Thank you.  :)

It will take longer time now, all departments are very busy with refuges applications, I think its need more than 6 weeks time

I have been living in Germany for ten yrs. now. Am here coz of my husbund too so am originaly from Africa. What count here is not only the marriage visa, u have to speak basic German, they look at the financial situation of your future husband. It depends on the situation and it is compliteley deferent: it meight be easy  and it can be defficutl too.
ps: do you know yr future husband gut and his background? be careful! Germany is a burocratic Land and they are strickt and perfect.
goodluck!
