This website was elaborated by the Notaries of Europe. It is both in english and french. Although the information is pretty basic, it is reliable and, therefore, it may be useful to some of us:

I tried the German language link and there is less than crap there ! To be exact there is nothing there except the link to the German Notaries Association ............................

So what is reliable about that ? So if I don't speak English or French  it's no use ?

Cheers

What do you mean, Ricky? You aren't usually this negative! ;)
When I try Germany (after reading your answer), it does link to the differents pages, 1 to 4, with the various points.
I did not say it was perfect, I just thought it might be helpful (to those who speak french or english, granted!).

Hi djinn,

after your reply I tried it a second time and all of a sudden there is a bit of information ( in English and French) !

So it was obviously a software mistake ! Sorry for the initial negative response ...

But I still think that offering advice for all the different EU countries should be in their home language and not just English and French. It's just a matter of translating legally correct advice.

As I have bought property in Germany in the past the information as such about the procedure is correct but , as said, only in English ( or French).

Cheers
Ricky

Any particular reason why they do not include the UK?
