And the drums are still beating here, and not just ringing in my head. ( didn't help with the annoying little 5yr old neighbour and his cousin, whose daddy thought it  great idea to get his son a drum ).
The wife got off lightly this year, only " donating " 300k, last year she was hit up for over 1 mil, but this time she was away most of the day.
Every year it gets worse, the kids have found an easy way to extort money. in the distance of only about 500 metres there was 7 groups torturing most people's eardrums,  practically blocking the road in the almost unlit street, but luckily for me, most of these kids are scared of my dog,  he sits on the front and was taught by young kids , ( when he was young ), not to like them.

Hey blue,

You kiwi blokes must have good dog training skills.
Yogi had a mate over there with a dog that hated Maoris.

He used to hit it over the head with a gollywog when it was a pup.

Are you allowed to say golliwog these days???
Some Aussies used to put the pup in a bag, kick it around a few times, then put it some place where an Abo could open it.
