The economy will recover when the bigger nations stabilize their economy too. Like china, U.S
Its gonna be slow

It may be dangerous to answer this question truthfully MJamshed - even on a blog like this.

Those that have seriously thought through this question know where the problems lie in Malaysia. The fact that it may be dangerous to comment on it besides you have steel ba@@s like the Blog with Borneo in its name.

Problems in Malaysia are entirely self-caused and are inherent in the system.

Fully agree , we have no power to voice out our opinion , economy slow might be political issue

There must be more so-called community organizing. Learn from how Barack Obama obtained power in the US.

He is a representative of a racial group with around 20% of the population. Through strategic alliances he managed to overcome the majority racial group in the country.

Here from Wikipedia about Saul Alinsky: While community organizing groups often engage in protest actions designed to force powerful groups to respond to their demands, protest is only one aspect of the activity of organizing groups. To the extent that groups' actions generate a sense in the larger community that they have "power," they are often able to engage with and influence powerful groups through dialogue, backed up by a history of successful protest-based campaigns. Similar to the way unions gain recognition as the representatives of workers for a particular business, community organizing groups can gain recognition as key representatives of particular communities. In this way, representatives of community organizing groups are often able to bring key government officials or corporate leaders to the table without engaging in "actions" because of their reputation. As Alinsky said, "the first rule of power tactics" is that "power is not only what you have but what the enemy thinks you have." The development of durable "power" and influence is a key aim of community organizing.

Now what the ''powers that be'' are most afraid of is the grassroots bumiputra. If you can move this group from their current passivity to active political engagement or enough of their vocal leaders then you can effectuate change.

This is something that all sides in Malaysia should think about.

Malaysia is an oil based economy (60%) and oil collapsed. Malaysian businesses are massively inefficient mostly led by idiots (chosen in basis of feudal ties to families not ability) and corruption is endemic. Most Malaysians want to migrate to the west and a huge brain drain exists for this reason. Talent and brains mean nothing in Malaysia so go west is the mantra. Until this all changes currency will continue to weaken.

And other reasons that can't be said or end up in trouble!

We are beginning to have a real discussion on this issue!

Please (re)read my post sent yesterday. There are options on how to turn things for the better but it involves personal responsibility and not expecting ''others'' to do all the heavy lifting.

Or maybe Stalin was right when he responded "Warm porridge does not explode"' when asked by a Western journo why he did not fear the people's wrath in reaction to the mass privations and terror they (the Russian people) were subject to in 1930s and 40s. By this I mean as long as the average Mat can slurp his teh tarik and afford his daily meal and roof over his head he will be happy.

Throwing a spanner in the works will take a lot of physical work and thinking. And courage.

Education though changes it all. Russians were down trodden peasants then. The more educated a people are the more they protest.

A good economy allows the most able to rise and do well. In malaysia it doesnt.

Take an example from thailand where the ex head of the inovation board submitted a fraudalent copied fake thesis to thailand's best university. He used a teport from a british academic and other copied material to get a phd. What happens to the brit who complains and journalists who complain? Death threats ,court action and jail. Eventually this top thai lost his phd as the university was put under pressure but took years. Then this man was found guilty of contractual fraud as well. No jail time and a small fine.

Result? Still head of innovation board! But after several years he quit and was re hired as a consultant doing the same job while a puppet was put as head.

So a convicted fraudster, proven cheat and liar keeps his job as he is from an "elite" family. While decent people face jail.

Of course do the math why thai university degrees are  a joke as influence and money buys a  degree.

Of course nothing like this happens in malaysia....
