To be able to move in Martinique, a lot of expatriates think of buying a car, whether new or second-hand.

What are the formalities to buy a vehicle in Martinique: car registration, insurance, etc.?

What are the relevant authorities or organizations to contact?

How long does it take and what are the associated costs?

All the informations can be found in below website ( Prefecture de la Martinique ), procedure is explained for new and used car ( in french, use google translation for english ), the main dcument for the owner of the vehicule is called "carte grise"
