Respected Sir,

I am an alternative medicine practitioner in Oman. I am trying to change my job as my current employer is paying very less wages. I then searched for another job and I got one. And my employer agreed to give me n.o.c previously and now he is saying if he will give n.o.c now, he will loose his visa clearance. And he is not able to bring another doctor in my vacancy. Is this true. Is there any way to get an n.o.c without loosing the clearance.

So please let me know the fact about this. Thank you

Thank you sir for your reply... can you please tell me around how many days it will take ( vaguely) becz I am planning to resign with in one month if they are not giving n.o.c.. that's why....

Just keep an eye on the ROP website and the news papers.There was news in Times of Oman about two weeks back about this rule and it said it is likely to be relaxed.

Dear dineshrk,rules here don't change quickly. Although there has been widespread calls to relax the rule its very unlikely to change at least this year. Recently a high ranking business leader has come out in support of the rule. I wouldn't hold my breath looking for a relaxation soon.
