Blood work for employment physical

Post new topic

Does anyone know the specific lab work done for the physical to work in Kuwait? I can't find anything, other than AID's testing. Embassy staff and MOH agency staff have been unable to tell me.

Do you mean a physical as a requirement for the residency? I depends on the governorate you are staying in. So which one is it? I have the info about Ahmadi.

Whatever physical that is required, after receiving your work permit for Kuwait? I'm American. I am still living in Jodan, and trying to complete requirements for my job in Kuwait. All the paperwork is in Arabic. Not getting good explanations from anyone (including Arabic-speaking husband) about the process. Just sort of stumbling along.

Housing hasn't been determined, but more than likely it will be in Salmiya or Salwa.

So you need to do the medical before coming in? Usually you get the work permit only after doing the tests, but who knows, things work always differently here.

Back when we had to do it, rather than guessing we asked Kuwait embassy for the list of tests that needed to be done. Some were quite bizarre and we had problems finding the facility that does the tests they want as the specific condition was never recorded in our country, but oh well.

Anyway, contact the embassy and ask for the list of tests in writing.

You will have to do most of these tests again in Kuwait. They just love to snap those X-Ray like they are polaroids.

I have heard that I have to do a physical there, too. As you know, it is a different story with each person you ask. I asked for an English translation while at the embassy, but told there was none. The counsellor has been extremely helpful, whenever I have been transferred to him. I just didn't want to bother him with what should have been a simple question.

I'm not even really worried about the labs, only from the perspective of fasting or not. I didn't realize I would be sent same day for my physical, and had eaten breakfast. I'm just trying to figure out if I should have gone on with the testing, or postponed as I did. I didn't want to chance abnormal labs, as the fee for the physical was quite high (especially by Jordanian standards).

I'm just really anxious to move from Jordan, and this process is taking a lot longer than I ever expected  :/  Thank you for your help!

You will have to undergo a 'Medical' here too in Kuwait to confirm the results of the tests that were done in Jordan. Once you arrive in Kuwait, you have to get them done and cleared and thereafter complete the necessary process regarding payment of Health Insurance and submitting of the necessary documents for your residence stamping within two months of your arrival in Kuwait.

The Government Liaison Officer or 'Mandoup,' as is called locally here, should take care of that. As your Employer or Sponsor is responsible for completing the necessary formalities regarding the processing of your Visa, Medical and stamping of residence I am sure everything will be taken care of. Because without the completion of that process your residency will not be stamped and you will not be able to work in Kuwait.

So rest assured that everything will be certainly taken care of in due course of time.

I remind you once again that if you need any assistance in finding the accommodation of your choice kindly contact me by mail or PM me.
