Not a Dating Site?

Of course this is no dating site , its an open forum, where you come across people from all walks of life and nationalities. Definitely this is no place for professional networking but you could meet some like minded individuals having similar interests. I have met some interesting guys and women here and I would say I have thoroughly enjoyed my time. You don't have to get upset if you are approached by men, the easy way out is to remove your profile photo, simply ignore and move on.. Lol

Report any such PMs or forum messages immediately.
It's hard work getting rid of the perverts and weirdos, but we ban as many as we can, as quickly as we can.

How do i report someone?

If it is a message in your inbox you can go to that particular post and right of the user name you see a action button.
Click and then click on the report option and describe briefly why you report this user.
Do not delete the message as the moderation team want to investigate.

If you want to report a user directly, you can go to the profile. Under the profile you see on your right the button " report user". Click on the button and explain why you report. The moderation team take the best action according to your complain.

The teams are pretty keen on dumping these people, so they tend to get banned pretty quickly.
If the messages keep coming before the user gets banned, you can block them and/or PM any member of the experts team (who you see online at the time) if the forum mod team is unavailable.

Expat-blog certainly is not a dating site. Unsolicited private messages offering or seeking personal relationships is a clear violation of Expat-blog Terms & Conditions of Use and every national forum's CODE OF CONDUCT. Still we have individuals who choose to ignore our rules. Fortunately they don't last long.

Such messages on our public forums get spotted quickly and the offenders end up getting banned. However, in our Private Message System we depend on our members who receive such messages to REPORT offenders. By clicking on the ACTIONS button and then selecting REPORT, you send a copy of the offending message to Expat-blog Moderators and action is taken immediately.

Please don't neglect to REPORT such messages. Certainly you can BLOCK the offenders, however this does nothing to help our other members who are subjected to their abuse. ONLY REPORTING DOES THAT.

I can assure you that reports are 100% confidential, and the offender wouldn't even be able to guess who reported them, because they send out similar messages to every female member they can.

And to all of the OFFENDERS out there who think about sending annoying messages to other members, be warned YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED HERE. Don't be the least bit surprised when you can no longer log in to Expat-blog that just means we've caught up to you and you've been BANNED.

I think that may be an error, and the truth is worse.
After a long time looking at the way these nutters post, it is my opinion they believe ladies will jump at the chance to go to bed with them, but I think it's worse than that.
It is my belief they assume they have the right to use women as they please, regardless of the woman's opinion on the subject.

you are right.
i have experienced this a lot especially with turkish men. they are creeps. weirdos. just report them, the admin team is very efficient and the offenders are banned shortly after you report. never reply to these perverts, just report immediately.

I would advise you to report all the members who are here looking for a date and we will do the necessary.

It would be great also if we can avoid pointing a nationality on an open forum, as some might get upset with this kind of criticism.

I am now closing this topic as it is best that we keep the forum for the exchange of information on expatriation.
