Furniture is comparatively expensive in Haiti whether locally made or imported.  Used furniture is available on Carrefour road.  Best is to go to Valerio Canez, good selection and decent prices.  But getting a good locally made bedroom set might be worth it for the sheer beauty of the pieces.

Good luck

Thank you. There are second-hand shops on Carrefour road? How much would one pay for a second-hand bed? Valerio Canez seem quite expensive. I'm looking to spend $100

With these prices, how can a local afford to buy a bed?

Yes there are used furniture places on Carrefour road and elsewhere but be careful because you might be getting bedbugs and other insects.  Sorry but 100 will not get you much except maybe a desk.  Look into a furnished place, some can be had for less than a 1000 with services.  I rented a 2 bedroom, 2 bath furnished with pool for 900 last year.

Thanks. It's for a Haitian friend who needs one for his "tente". I was thinking in terms of a folding military camp bed. Where would one get such a thing though?

sorry have no idea, try the red cross
