Opening a Bank Account & Credit Card

Hi,
My Husband is going to SA shortly and we have been told that he should open a bank account with a credit card when he gets there for his wages to paid into. Is this a hard process? What paperwork does he require? and is getting a Credit card over there a drama? He will be staying in company provided accomodation

What Shine said and he doesn't need a credit card to get his wages. Maybe they are telling him to get it because he has to travel and claim expenses on those ?

As rareshine said need a iqama for the bank account, But to get the iqama it will take around one month !

Yes he wants a credit catd so he can pay for expenses and other things. Does the wife have to be there to sign anything to hetan ATM catd? Sorry for being ignoranf but what is an Iqama

Iqama is residents card
Nothing will be in your name
Husband's company will pay salary in cash till he has bank account and will be 4-6 weeks for iqama and opening account
