Yes, they certainly need your original (Attested) degree for the visa application. Its a mandatory requirement from the ministry of manpower Oman. Don't forget to take a written acknowledgement of receipt from the employer.

Secondly, before sending the degree, you should insist to obtain the offer letter with all conditions. go through it carefully and then after acceptance, send your original degree.

Thanks Schaz,

please inform me the attestation procedure as I am doing for the first time.
Also what will be the charge for document and time taken for doing the same.

Hello Dhir,

Normally there are few agencies in respective areas who perform this job.....I have recently done my Apostille stamp on my B.Tech degree for Oman for which he charged me 800 Indian rupees and it took 1 week for the procedure. By the way i am from Hyderabad-India.

800 for entire process is the cheapest I have ever heard .

Normally I have seen the agencies charge you between 5k to 7 k based on your location .

A simple Google search would give you names of MEA approved agencies .

By the way , in the interest of larger group ... You may like to share the name of the agency who collected at Hyderabad and got all the 3/4 steps completed in Rs 800 .

800 is very very cheap. I am from Chennai, received my attested certificate yesterday. I did attestation on my BE degree.

I met a lot of agents (approximate 15 agents in Chennai) and finally zeroed on Mxxxx Consultants. They charged me 4000 Rs and took 7 days for getting attested. I could see the following seals behind my certificate - Notary - SDM - Home Department (Mantralaya) - MEA-Apostle.

I had directly sent my certificate through Blue Dart from Chennai to Mumbai. Blue dart charges 400 Rs. Reached Mumbai the next day. Once they received, they will emailed me the receipt confirmation and payment request. I paid them 2000 Rs as advance. Once the certificate was ready, they emailed scanned copy and asked for balance payment before dispatching the certificate. They sent my certificate to their Chennai office. Chennai Office lady Ms. Dxxx handed over my certificate and gave payment acknowledgment. She was also very polite.

Found these guys reliable. Contact person : Ms. Rxxx - xxx (Mumbai office) Mxxx consultants
Mr. Axxx - xxxx (This guy sits in Pune head office) Manav consultants

Web : xxx

Thanks

As far a labour clearance is concerned, my company told me that they need only my certificate Xerox, Medical certificate original, passport copy and 8 photographs in white background 4x6 cm size.

Possibly, if you have enough time to join, try going for HRD attestation also in your certificate. Because Oman is the only country in middle east which accepts apostle. In case If you want to move out and join may be Dubai, you need HRD. I have done apostile on BE Certificate and going to do HRD on my MBA certificate. Request Some expert to confirm this.

This is what I could understand. I am not an expert.

Thanks

Thats sounds right. The actual process takes 3 days (MEA) .
Since your agency was based in Mumbai ( The flow was Chennai ---> Mumbai---> Delhi---->Mumbai---->Chennai).

Mine was similar .....but I got it couriered from Mumbai to Muscat instead of bringing it back to Chennai, in the interest of time. Most of these companies have a online tracking system , where you can see the progress like an airways bill of a courier.

This is Mirza from Pakistan, currently working in UAE in one of exchange house, recently got offer letter from one of exchange house from oman, can somebudy tell me that how much time it will take to get my labor clearance from ministry while i have provide them my original degree certificate before 3 weeks.

dear dhir

may i have your mobile no so may i talk to you .... either let me know in how many days your  employer has taken to have your labor clearance from ministry

salesandme

Dear Mirza

No one can accurately tell you the time it takes to get labor clearence. I got it in a weeks time and have seen some waiting for over 6 months. It basically depends on the company and its influence in ministry.

But hope for the best. I am not sure if you have provided them with original certificate or are yet to provide. In my case they asked for copy, but some companies insit on original. I am 10 days old in oman now.

all the best

thanks

Thank u sales

I have provide them my original degree upon their request.. They selected me as an operation manager .. Remittance & Treasury operation .... What you say .... Will they get the clearance

salesandme

As already said, cannot say if they will get it not. May be they are quite confident, thats why have taken your originals. And in your feild I dont think there is any issues on omanisation percentage.

give them some, may be atleast 15 days to max a month. Followup with them if they have applied and track the status every 10 days. Anyhow thats the only option.

if they are not getting in a months time, then expect uncertainty over that.

thanks
