Student Visa VITEM IV

Post new topic

Hello,

I will be studying in Brazil from January until May. I am now applying for Visa but I am also trying to buy my return ticket to Europe. There is not much information available about Brazilian Visas and the Consulate takes ages to reply so I thought I would ask here.

If my course ends on 20.05, does that mean I will have to leave the country on the same day? I wanted to stay until about 16.06 and travel a bit after my course ends.

Can I just leave the country on, let's say, 18.05 for one day and get a tourist visa?

Thank you!

James

Highly unlikely that you'll be allowed to stay more than a day or two beyond the end date for the course. Generally speaking the visa will be issued with an entry date and exit date.

Thank you.

The letter from the univeristy does not state when my course ends. It only says that it starts in January. I saw some VITEM IV visa images and rather than specific date they were valid for 6 months. Do you think they will make my visa valid for 6 months as well since it is only one term?
