Hi everyone, just a few questions, I'm new to Riyadh !!! I have a friend living here (guy) is it rite that I can't go for dinner with him anywhere since we're not married?
I'm not sure I like being a women in Saudi 
You can go to diplomatic quarters (DQ) and roam freely,
grab a coffee, snacks & chit chat etc,
not sure about good restaurants in DQ.
and for dinner 'tahlia street' is your place..
