Expanding my social network!

Post new topic

SarahAus

Hi,

I am currently doing some volunteer work here in Nairobi within the Kibera slums and was looking to expand my social network particularly getting more local friends to hang out with when i am not working.

Female preferred but not essential...the only thing required is a good sense of humour :P

Hello Sarah-Aus :)

To enlarge your circle of friends, view the Nairobi expat network where you could start to build international contacts.

Regards,
Sheetul

I tried joining the nairobi network but it keeps taking me back to the home page or asking me to re register again.

Hi Sarah and Istria,
I am volunteering with Kenya Youth Climate Network(KYCN) in Westlands and would be glad to meet up with you.

A number of us are also planning a meet up/get together activity so feel free to give your suggestion on this.

Since starting off with something within or near town is better, what would you preffer? Please select a combination (day and destination) or suggest another:

Time: 2:00pm

a)Saturday afternoon(21st April)
b)Sunday after noon(22nd April)

Meeting place:
1)Nakumatt junction
2)Westgate shopping mall
3)Tea spot

Please pick a day and preffered suggestion.

You can also inbox me or call me 0729 079 046 or email heelsandvalise@gmail.com, for easier planning.

There is also 'Nairobi Expat Social' (NES).  A 'closed group' on Facebook.  There are over 1000 members, all expats.  The group specialise in organising social events centred on Nairobi, weekend trips, etc.  You have to apply to join, via the link on their page.  There is a little bit of 'vetting' of new applicants, as the group is only open to expats, so isn't for you if you want to mix with 'locals'.

Hello,

Expat.com is a website designed for expatriates. You could organise an Expat.com meet up. You just have to suggest a place, date and time. ;)
