Adwaa Rabia

Post new topic

Hello I posted the following a while back but didn't receive any information so I decided to repost:

Hello everyone,

I hope you are all doing well. I have currently been talking to a recruiter for Adwaa Rabia and I really like their offer package. I have been doing some research about the company and haven't found too much information regarding the overall experience working for them. Most of what I have found is not up to date. Can anyone refer me to someone who works or has worked for them? Or do any of you have any information regarding the company's treatment of their employees?

Anything would really help.

Sincerely,

Egerze

Hi.

I actually just accepted an offer with them but I'm having the same issue as you.  Most of the complaints that I have found seem to be old.  I haven't seen any recent complaints.  I've been working with Dr. Watson who has answered all my questions and has been prompt.  The person who interviewed me was also very nice and spent an additional 30 minutes explainin the process.  I would still feel better getting recent feedback.  Let me know if you hear amything.  Or we could compare notes to see if we both were told the same thing.  Either way good luck and hopefully everything is on the up and up.

Hello there,

Sorry it has taken me a while to reply to your response but I truly appreciate you taking the time to let me know. If you'd like to compare notes that would be really helpful. How far have you gotten into the process if I may ask?

Sincerely,
Egerze

Hi.

I have had a hard time finding any recent reviews on them.  Ms. Carla Watson I'd on linked in and looks like she has been with the company for quite a few years.  She has been excellent at responding and answering all my questions.  She is very direct but that's ok.  The person who interviewed me was also nice and took an extra 20 minutes to explain the process again.  They stated that I would be coming in in a work visa with my profession listed as teacher.  I will be able to travel freely.  That was important to me incase of an emergency.  I would be based solely in riyadh at a university.  We get paid at the end of each month.  Someone will pick me up from the airport.  In the summer if I'm at a university and school is out I'm not expected to be there.  So far it's going ok.  They want me there in 3 weeks.  I've started collecting the required documents.  Now weather that will happen in 3 weeks will see.  I hope this helps.  How far are you in the process if you don't mind me asking?  US this pretty much the info you were given?  Lee me know if you have any further questions.  Thanks and good luck.

Hi there!

I've been in contact with Dr. Watson as well. I will also be based in Riyadh and living in a western compound. I interviewed with someone else but I don't remember her name.

In terms of my paperwork... I sent my diploma with the supporting documents at the end of December to the SACM in VA for the stamp but they returned everything because supposedly my distance learning form was not sealed. However, it was so I do not know what the deal is. I have to recollect the documents and resubmit and hopefully that can be done quickly.

I also went to the doctor last week to do the medical check and am waiting for them to fill out the paperwork.

By the looks of it you are working on your visa paperwork, correct?

When do you think you will head out to KSA?

Please feel free to ask me any questions.

Sincerely,

E

Hi.
Yes I'm in the visa process.  She said once i have everything they can send it to ny and will take abt a day to issue the visa.  The authentication of my transcripts will take abt 8 to 10 business days.  I am supposed to do my blood work tomorrow.  Did they give you anymore details abt the housing. They said it's a single apartment but I could be sharing a bathroom.  Are you working at a university?  The interviewer (whose name I don't remember) stated that I won't have to work during the summer if there are no students.  Not sure if we still get paid.  I was under the impression that we would.  Is this your first time applying to teach English overseas?

Jamilatani

Sorry for my typos.  I'm at work also and responding on my phone.  :)

Jamilatani

Oh did you have to pay for the SCAN?  If so do you mind if I ask how much?  Are they paying for the visa also?  Thanks.

egerze

They didn't give me much information about the housing they just told me that I would have my own room and sharing bathroom.

I already did my bloodwork and am following up with my PCP today.

As far as I know, I would not be working during the summer. They never mentioned that it depends if there are students. Mmmmmhmmm. They did however tell me that there are opportunities for over time work and pay so it's nice to have that option. They did tell me that I will be working in a university but didn't tell me which one.

This is my first time applying for a job overseas. What about yourself?

I'm not sure what the SCAN is do you mean "SACM" stamp? If so, no I didn't pay for that and I believe that they cover the visa as well. Are you paying for any medical expenses that you may acquire from the medical check?

my brother was offered a teaching position via adwaa rabia.  in short i believe them to be a fraudulent   company having read about them on many other sites. my bro who has worked in saudi previosuly was harassed to get paperwork  ready and he did but  the application via regentvisa service in london was rejected. cara ( i doubt if a doctor from the style, tone  etc of the emails! said to be patient over a month ago now. since then my bro has contacted adwaa and they are ignoring him. i am disgusted with them as they have now left him with a nearly £600 bill to pay the visa agent in order to get his passport back. please be aware of adwaa rabia.  the interviewer was a dr jordi david allegedly, the ESL director but listening to his level of English he was of Indian/Pakistani  background with understanding of English way below native level let alone one that wouyd suggest he is an ESL director. as for Cara i think it is same person as the aforementioned.  in meantime my bro has been diagnosed with cancer and  we need passport to go to umrah but no we have to fork out all that money for a rejected visa which cara said was due to a technical issue in saudi embassy in uk usa  egypt and tunisisa?? i dont know what to believe. once my bro is better we intend to find these scounderels in person no matter where in the world they are!!!  please be aware of them and read ESL watch review about these scums. adwaa rabia i promise you i will find you anywhere on earth and ensure you do not  cheat anyone ever again. keep looking over your shoulder.....

I have warned about this many times before.  Any job, which requires you to pay anything for whatever reason, is a scam.
