Chiang Rai Immigration Office

Post new topic

We finally made it to Chiang Mai as planned and my husband has been in the hospital for 4 days having his gall bladder removed  unexpectedly.   Hoping to make the breakfast meeting this Friday.

We have a 90 day visa but they tell us that we have to get a stamp put in after 60 days at the immigration office.  Does anyone know if we go to Chiang Rai can we get our 2 month visa stamped in at the immigration office there?

If your visa was stamped in Chiang Mai, you'll have to make your 90-day-stay report in CM. You can do it ahead of your travel to CR. If there's still time for the report after the CR trip, yiu can do it nearer that date in CM.

SO THERE IS NO PLACE IN CHIANG RAI I CAN DO THE SAME?  I'VE HEARD THAT THE OFFICE HERE THAT I'D HAVE TO WAIT A VERY LONG TIME TO GET THE STAMP?  SOMEONE TOLD ME THAT I HAVE TO WAIT OUTSIDE FOR HOURS.  IS THIS CORRECT?  WHERE IS THE IMMIGRATION OFFICE IN CHIANG MAI?  HOW FAR IS IT FROM THE CHIANG MAI HOSPITAL?  THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HELP.
